Hurricane Deductible
Do you know your Hurricane Deductible and How it works?
- A Hurricane Deductible is a percentage applied to your Coverage Limit ( not the claim amount).
- Example: $500,000 Dwelling Amount times 5% Hurricane Deductible is a $25,000 Deductible.
- Different Carriers apply different Hurricane Deductibles. Some apply 5% across the board, while others apply 0 to 5% depending on the distance to the water. 2% is $10,000 verses $25,000 at 5%.
